Place overview

Vashlovani National Park belongs to the protected-area complex in southeastern Kakheti’s Dedoplistskaro district. Its defining habitats include semidesert, steppe and sparse dry woodland, particularly wild pistachio trees. Eroded landforms and the open spacing of the trees create a landscape very different from Georgia’s humid western forests.
